Success is not always an overnight thing

Success is not always an overnight thing?

It took years before I could consider myself a success in network marketing.  I’m sure you have wondered if you are doing something wrong, if you are jinxed, why can they, but I can’t.  I hear ya, I felt the same way.  I could market my opportunity exactly like everyone else and get zero results.  I think, it’s because of attitude.  Simply that!  Attitude.  And sometimes, life forces you to.

There comes a time when we need to make a big change. Even if we didn’t plan it.  We can feel completely overwhelmed, lost, in a state of despair and quite desperate.

We look for that magic pill, magic wand to wave or miracle to make it all go away. The reality is that it just doesn’t work that way.

And just like you, I have faced some of these challenges on a business and personal level and to be honest many times, I just wanted to wave a wand and make it all go away.

However, I have learned some personal lessons on how to make small changes that will result in nice big positive changes in life.

My husband Don was diagnosed with terminal cancer.  What can you do?  How do you handle that?  We cried, we hugged, we faced it together.  Two years after the diagnosis, Don passed and I felt totally lost.  I was so overwhelmed and I just didn’t know what to do next.  I wandered aimlessly, back and forth to work not knowing, not really wanting to continue.  28 years of marriage and now I’m lost…

The medical bills that needed to be paid, the property taxes… you know, life!  How could I possibly deal with it all?  I’m just me now!  Me, alone, not much motivation to pick myself up and move on.

Then one day, a friend called me and said she got started in network marketing and just knew I’d be good at it, well, I started.  Good at it?  Not at all!  Chasing, begging friends and family is not what I’d call good.  I started buying leads, not much progress there either.  My space, ummmm no!  Then Facebook came along.  It was easier to talk with other people having the same issues, it was still hard to make sales though.  But I did make same or I probably would have just given up completely!

Then one day, during an outing, I met my future husband.  It didn’t take long before we decided we were the perfect fit!  We were married exactly 1 year after we met!  Wow!  I never dreamed I find another husband, let alone one that felt like I’ve known him forever!  Who feels what I feel, who wants to succeed as much as me!

We both felt lost before that day, we were both working, but struggling to make ends meet.  We married, we were able to work together and came up with a strategy that was measurable from a commitment and timing perspective and just focused on that. We took it one week at a time and worked through all the problems.

Now we look back and we can’t believe that it seems like an almost distant memory.

We were “working together as a team”.

We broke down everything we needed to do into smaller “chunks” and worked out way through to becoming happier and stress free!  With each bill paid, we became happier and more confident!   We both decided we wanted to start our own business!  With the amount of money it takes to start a business (the insurances, the products, the knowledge) we decided our business was going to be online… and we still are!

We have tried and failed with numerous companies, some our own fault, some the business sold, changed comp plans, or just flat out went out of business for any number of reasons!

Does that stop us?  NO!!!  These periods of discomfort can motivate you learn more, to try harder and wait for the magic pill or the miracle to come rescue you.

Just decide to start making changes in your mind that you will succeed, you will take action, you will increase your chances of reaching your goals and being a success.

Remember it only takes a small shift in your thinking everyday that over time amounts to huge change.

I want to share the following five changes that I read from another network marketer, that will help make it easier for you to find success… It puts into words, what we did.

Here are five tips to help you make small changes that will have a MASSIVE impact on your life.

  1. Vision – Create the vision in your mind of what you want. What is it you want in the next five years? What will you do for work? Where do you live? How do you spend your free time? What do your relationships look like? Go into as much detail for every aspect. You have to have a vision if you want to know where you’re going.
  2. Break It Down  – Looking at your ultimate vision can be overwhelming especially if it looks a lot different from where you are now. To avoid that break it down into years, months, weeks and days. That way you have something to focus on each day that will keep you moving closer to your vision by making small steps each day
  3. Focus – Make your life vision and the changes you want to make your absolute priority. You can’t just do the things when you have the time! NO! It requires constant focus and energy. Place your focus and energy on what you want and not on your problems and where you don’t want to be.
  4. Acceptance – Accept where you are right now. “What you resist, persists” is one of my favorite quotes. Own your current situation and don’t blame life, events, clovers or any thing else. It is not because you’re bad. Just acknowledge you’re not where you want to be and you’re going to change that.

Action – Nothing will materialize in our lives if we don’t take action. A vision is just a dream unless we take action. If you want to make change you have to take action and you have to do it consistently. So start with the smallest step you can and keep moving forward.

To your future success,

A New Way to Think

A Light Bulb Moment

Wow!  I know this stuff… But I forgot that stuff…

That’s exactly how I felt as I was watching another trainer talking to the group about getting more sales, more customers, more people to join your business.  It’s amazing how many times you hear something before it finally sinks in, and you have that Light Bulb Moment!  I actually wanted to hit myself in the head… I knew that!!

Bob (I think) was talking about recruiting customers and affiliates and he was using the example of the ’60’s way of doing things and how high pressured sales techniques where taught.  And he was explaining why it doesn’t work and why many people are still using that technique!  Didn’t work well then, and doesn’t work now!!

Ok, we all know we want to recruit, true.  Everyone says, get to know the person you are trying to recruit.  Here’s where I get lost.  How much time do you need to “get to know” someone.  What if they are not interested, how much time have you wasted?  How much “free time” do you have?  I wanna know!  Seriously!!

Too much time wasted

Ok, so I have 3800 people who are “friends” on Facebook.  I’ve spent a lot of time getting to know them (that li

st is like, 15 years and counting), chatting, wondering what they do, if they are interested in anything I do.  Don’t get me wrong, I’ve made a lot of great friends, but Facebook is constantly changing things so those friends rarely see your posts anyway.  Ughhhh

So what’s the answer?

Do you advertise on Facebook?  Well, here’s where it gets tricky these days…

Facebook is pulling a bait and switch with this new and improved algorithm. You can post a “likes” campaign but can’t ask people to “like” your page.  You can post a voting poll but can’t ask people to vote?  You can buy an ad but can’t ask people to click it?

This is freaking nuts!

Buying Leads

Have you ever, I mean ever, bought leads from anywhere that you could afford and gotten anyone to buy or join (not just join, but actually work)?  No?  Me either  So I’m not wasting my money there anymore either.

Simple answers?

In today’s information age, it’s so much information, that you sometimes forget the simple things.

Well, I really think it’s time to switch it up… why not just ask people if they are interested in making more money or fixing what ever problem you offer to fix for them, if they say no, then you can decide if you really want to be friends with them or not.  Maybe?

I know, some people will say you are just rude, but seriously, on Facebook do we have a year or 10 to find out they are not interested in anything  you do?  And in a couple of months or less, Facebook is not going to show your posts to them anymore anyway.  Right?  So……..

Just my thoughts… what’s yours?

Sue

January

Not sure about you, but for me January is more than a little busy, ITS INSANE!!

And no, not everyone gets it. Still working on closing last year’s reports without stopping this year’s business. I work for a small business and January has always been stressful, even with computer software that supposed to make life easier! Seriously, do you think it does? I for one don’t.

How can that be?

It’s something I’ve wondered about and can never really put my finger on. Let’s travel back a few years and discuss what happened

Convenience

Is it? I really started noticing about the time we could afford microwaves. They were supposed to save you time and make cooking easier. I have one but rarely use it for anything.

It seemed to me then that the more things you had to save you time and energy the less time and energy you actually had at the end of the day. How could that be?

Ok, you ask, what’s this got to with January?

For me its all about the “convenience” of computers.

Computers save time

Or do they?

Well, here’s where I’m not sure that’s true. Maybe it depends upon what industry you work in, but the programming of accounting software doesn’t really cover all the bases.

For instance, we have jobs that are on going, we have invoices that are not paid, we have inventory both in stock, and charge to an open job. Problem with the software, it can’t distinguish between what’s open jobs and what’s actually been billed. Sales reports won’t show labor sales until you actually bill it.

Ok, you may or may not understand or care about that, but I’m just wanting a little. But my point is, the convince of the computer, makes it more difficult to separate everything in January to get actual reports you can use to file taxes.

Ok, I think you see my point. Modern convenience is not really convenient!Life is more complicated now that it’s ever been. What’s it going to be in 10-20 years?

Just my ramblings today!

Sue

Getting leads for your business

Getting leads is key

We all know that getting leads is key for your business, but we also all know how daunting the process can be.  And worse is knowing where to start!  You can spend a lot of money looking for leads that will turn into customers.  And after all, customers are all essential for all businesses.

Online or offline – everywhere there are people, you can find new prospects and potential leads for your business. The only important thing is for you to know who is your buyer and narrow the audience you are turning to.

There are a lot of ways to grow your list of prospects, but people are getting more and more hesitant giving out their info to anyone because the fraud on the internet has gotten out of hand.  So, being able to target the people who are looking for your type is business is going to increase the number of leads that convert to sales.  And that makes us all happy!

Where to start

I get asked this a lot!  There are so many sources, so many different ways, so many different price ranges.  Today I want to concentrate a little more on the more affordable ways to generate leads, as that is what my business is.  Not only for myself, but for almost anyone that does network marketing of any product, whether it be weight loss, hair care, makeup, skin care and the list goes on!

So today, let’s start with the basic…

Facebook

Almost everyone (I said almost) is on Facebook.  With that being said, you can post till you are blue in the face and not get enough leads or prospects to get your business growing or so you will have to pay for Facebook ads, but that’s not always the way to go either because Facebook has a habit of letting people who are paid to click be the ones that actually see you ads instead of what you chose as your target audience.  At least that has been my experience and spending money where it’s not doing any good, is not what I have in mind.

So, you’ll need to be more specific on about how you treat your page.  You need to treat your Facebook page like a sales page or website and have clear call to action posts, updated news feed that includes photos, posts that teach, inspire or otherwise create interest.

Try running contests and giveaways.  People absolutely love competitions and free stuff so this could be a great way to generate leads.  Maybe give away a coaching give-away, or advertising contest, or anything that they would willingly put their name and email into a call-to-action box.

Ask for referrals, if someone likes what you are selling, even if they are not buying, ask them if they know of anyone who would be interested.  If they are happy with what you are selling, ask them to write a review on their Facebook wall and tag you in the review.  You’ll be getting more eyes seeing your ads than ever before.

How about a Facebook live, you can do this on your personal profile, or from a business page.  During your live, ask the people watching to share or invite others to your live.  Try it!  It works!!

Asirvia

Ok, so, I know that you know that I love Asiriva!  For the cost, it’s totally amazing!  There is Go Basic and Go Plus.  For what the units and the software deliver, you’ll be way more than pleasantly surprised.  Your advertising becomes on the Go, literally, anywhere you go, it goes! The tracking, as you go from place to place, you’ll see where you get the most hits, or  when you change you ad, you’ll know what’s working.  So  click the link http://asirvia.info/lovnlife/ to learn more, leave your name, email and phone number if you would like me to contact you so I can teach you more about Asirvia Go

Black Friday coming fast! Are you ready?

Are you a Black Friday enthusiast and enjoy the adventure?

Ok, my question today – Do you do Black Friday or are you like me and stay home in bed?  Seriously, there is no way you are going to convince me to get up at 3 am and trudge out into the cold to stand in line at God only knows what store is having the best sales on whatever…

And the crowds,

ugh !  No thank you.  I can’t even stand to go grocery shopping when the store is busy.

Or are you Stay at home and shop online kinda person?

Now that I can agree on!  I can find so many wonderful deals without the hassle of standing in line for hours.  Do I pay more?  Maybe, but I pay less than you might imagine and I still have my sanity when I’m done shopping!

Cyber Monday

At least with Cyber Monday you don’t need to be standing outside in the cold, waiting in a long line to get in as and get out!

A third option

I don’t just shop at big online stores, I enjoy looking through my friends list and see what type of products they offer that I know my friends and family would enjoy and whats even better about that, they do the same for me, so buying and making money in return. How cool is that?

What?  You say you don’t support your friends?  Cuz what they do is all a scam.  Wrong to the max!  How many of your friends are busy selling products, whether online or off, they have some wonderful products and services you won’t find in any store.  If a friend owned a local store, would you wander in at least once to see what they are selling?  Or would you say,  no way im going in there, it’s just a scam to get my money. See what i mean?

If you are on Facebook, just ask your friends what products they sell, and even if you don’t buy anything from them, you would make their day that much better.  In the spirit of Thanksgiving, give it a try, your friends will appreciate your help.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

And if you enjoy Black Friday, have fun and stay safe!

Let’s work together

Ok, that was all wrong!

100 day video challenge failure…

That’s right, I really did want to hit 100 days of video and improve myself in video, well Facebook live was the challenge, but then as Facebook does from time to time, decided I could no longer make live videos.  No I don’t know how long I’ll be unable to, but it really took the wind out of my sails.

So I decided, that I will make videos and have fun and not feel pressured by a challenge.  I did manage to get enough out of the effort to know that know matter what, no matter how bad, I can do it.  You can laugh, poke fun, no matter!  I did it!

I’m not complaining, Facebook probably did you a favor!!  Seriously!

I want to thank all of you for your encouragement, it’s always nice to know that people really do read my posts.  To me that means the most to me.  I don’t care if only 1 person gets something out of my blog, that means I touched one persons life and hopefully made it better, if only for a moment.

I hope if you are planning on doing a video challenge you jump on in, you may fail at first, but as time goes on, you are only going to get better!  Don’t be afraid, don’t worry that you may not be pretty enough, good looking enough, too nervous, and 100 other excuses, but remember you are the hardest critic to please you’ll ever have.

Until next time, take the time to have fun, laugh and enjoy life!!

Day #7 Asirvia Rank Up Video Challenge

Day 7

Today the question is …  What’s Holding YOU Back?

I know it sounds cliche to say get over your fears when it comes to marketing, but if you don’t jump in and just do it, you never will get over those fears.

I do realize that not all fears are a thing you can get over, believe me, I’ve been trying.  My fear of heights is crazy, I’m not sure when that started, but I can nearly pass out when I watch someone else get close to the edge of a bridge, a cliff, or anywhere they could fall and get hurt, almost as much as if I was standing there myself!

But talking to others about what you are selling?  Ask yourself how to approach the problem, smile and say hi to everyone you see when you go to the store next time, do that a few times and it’ll get easier.

Next time try asking the person waiting in line behind you how their day is going?  Even if the conversation goes nowhere, you’ve begun the process of getting over your fear of talking with others!

You afraid of talking to your friends and family about the business you are in?  Ask yourself, why.  You know they are not paying your bills, but maybe, just maybe, they will listen this time.  Maybe not, but that’s behind you now and no longer a problem if you wind up talking to others and they can over hear.

See what I mean?

Practice.  Just like me, practice!  I’m not perfect, not by any streach of anyone’s imagination, but at least I’m making an effort and I encourage you to do the same!  I know you can!

Until tomorrow….
