Living with Diabetes

About 8 years ago Dave was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes.  It’s been a rough road.  We spend a lot of time looking for recipes for meals that work with the diabetes and yet palatable.   Seems like the harder you try to get on the right track the more confusing it can become.  There are so many websites with so much information, and that’s awesome, but that’s also confusing.  Isn’t there something that can help?

Diet and Exercise are important

There is no cure for diabetes, but it can be managed. Balancing the food you eat with exercise and medicine (if prescribed) will help you control your weight and can keep your blood glucose in the healthy range.  Diabetes is a common disease, yet every individual needs unique care. We encourage people with diabetes and their families to learn as much as possible about the latest medical therapies and approaches, as well as healthy lifestyle choices. Not everyone is going to have the exact same results doing the exact same things and so you need to be as diligent as you can be.  And as you age, the obstacles can sometimes be overwhelming.

Doctors will usually prescribe medications but even those can come with their own set of negative side effects.  Such as the Metformin, even if it is rare.  So wouldn’t it be great to find something that could help that is more natural and have no side negative side effects?

Introducing Emulin Plus by iGalen

Emulin C and Emulin M (we’ll discuss the differences later).

Emulin+ is the world’s 1st patented and natural carb manager. It contains a botanical mix called Emulin™ (emulates insulin) that helps your body manage refined carbohydrates. Emulin is a natural compound derived from fruits, such as grapefruits, grapes and berries.  It works with enzymes to metabolize carbohydrates and lower blood sugar levels.

Studies have shown Emulin to…

  • slow the conversion of complex carbohydrates to simple sugars
  • reduce sugar absorption to the bloodstream while stimulating absorption to muscle tissue
  • slow down gluconeogensis by the liver
  • increase breakdown of lipids in fat tissue
  • increase insulin sensitivity by increasing glucose transporters in muscle tissue in the presence of insulin
  • block an insulin inhibitor called TNF alpha, which therefore increases insulin release from pancreatic tissue

And best of all… Emulin does not have any adverse side effects!!

Why we decided to try Emulin+

As I said before, Dave has been on Metformin for over eight years now and the prescription strength steadily increases as he gets older, in fact it’s not working like it used to and the doctor has added Trulicity to help the pancreas to do what it is supposed to do, and yet, his blood glucose level is still higher than we want to see it (pushing 180).  And the possible side effects?

  • Risk of Thyroid C-cell Tumors
  • Pancreatitis
  • Renal impairment
  • Severe gastrointestinal Disease

I think that is more than enough to decide on finding more natural alternatives.

And the best this is, I can also take the Emulin+

Emulin+ can also help with weight loss, anxiety, arthritis, asthma, Crohns disease, depression, endometriosis, lack of energy, high blood pressure, hypoglycemia, fibromyalgia, inflammation, irritable bowel syndrome, joint pain, migraines, varicose veins, sinus congestion, leaky gut, allergies and sleep.
