Resolution Day 5

Normal start to the day, 3 Techui after waking, make coffee, then off to the shower and the scale!!  This morning as I stepped on the scale, I saw I was only down 1/2 pound.  At first thought the brain says, dang wish it was more, but that’s definitely the wrong attitude!  I mean really, I’ve now lost 7 pounds in 4 days!!  Home many times have I said that in my weight loss journey… like…. NEVER!!!

I’m totally excited and I’ve still got 5 days to go on Resolution!  Certainly not going to complain about a mere 1/2 pound.  lol  So, let’s keep going

Resolution Day 5

6:15 AM:  Took my Resolution drops and waited 15 minutes before eating or drinking!  I have fallen in love with breakfast (that I used to skip)  Once again, it was sauteed mushrooms and spinach with 2 egg whites.  I can tell you, I’m much more alert at work, I feel quite satisfied and sometimes don’t even remember my snack on time.  I try to time the snack in between breakfast and lunch, but lately it’s been closer to lunch than breakfast.  Calories: 44

10:45 AM:  Snack, I brought a tablespoon of peanut butter and 3 celery sticks.  I just dipped the celery in the peanut butter and enjoyed my snack.  Calories: 114

12:00 Noon:  Took my Resolution and headed for home.  Lunch was 3 oz of grilled lean hamburger with 1 teaspoon of ketchup and a little pepper and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese.  Feeling full and happy!

I really think that now I can feel my stomach is starting to shrink.  I can feel my ribs that I haven’t for quite some time!  YAY!!!!  For me this is quite amazing and I’m loving it!

Hubby and I were invited out for dinner this weekend to his brothers and sister-in-laws house, but I didn’t want her to have to do any extra work worrying about what I was gonna eat, so we postponed it for a week.   I’m really getting better about turning down the food I used to love to eat!!  I still will enjoy it, but I know I’ll be eating much less of it when I do.  But right now, I’m sticking to my 10 day promise to myself!

5:30 PM:  Made chicken fajita’s for dinner, minus the wraps.  Sauteed mushrooms, green pepper, onion, and chicken!  It was awesome!!  Never thought of eating fajitas without the wrap before.  Nice to know I can enjoy my food without the guilt!  Calories for dinner 206

So, tonight I’m going to enjoy a glass of Ste Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon to celebrate a fabulous week!  Don’t worry, it’s 1 small glass!
